I spent 9 hours installing the garbage chute. Half of that time was spent going to Home Depot (3 times) and Lowes (2 times) for stuff that wasn't included. In case you didn't know, the tubing in this kit is 1.5" in diameter, while the PVC tubing from Home Depot and Lowes that say it's 1.5" is actually 1.7" / 8". are. They don't mix. Nice drain fitting and siphon set. Specifically, I needed the 12 inch extension cord that comes with the box. I think some of the negative feedback is due to the plastic threaded nuts being overtightened, or perhaps the ball joint mating surfaces on the P-trap being wrench tightened or misaligned. I don't know why the plumber chose the chrome brass siphon S for the sink. Zinc can leach into sewage, causing brass to rot until it crumbles. When mine broke, Revain delivered the plastic within 36 hours. It seemed faint, but when I examined it I was satisfied. Like polypropylene. It doesn't need to be as thick as PVC as it is less brittle. It cannot be painted or glued as almost nothing sticks. Perhaps this will clear the trap of debris.
