The tool only did part of the job

Installed the bushing removal tool and immediately broke the base plate into three pieces. Then he bent the rod while pushing on the bushing. Eventually it gave up and used a saber saw to cut it out. The tool worked to install, even with the stem bent.

    Waste of time and money

The device I received came in a red box and looked like it had been used before. The tool was initially unassembled, after I assembled it, it moved the bushing about 1/8 inch, then broke off and expanded the bushing. This tool will take a lot of your time, just buy the best one and you'll be better off.

    • High marks for support and durability from testers

works good enough - steering and suspension tools

like the other guy said the bearing broke it came with a very cheap feel bearing that wasn't even included. The torque used to extrude the second bushing crushed it and it exploded. some wd40 and one race left was smooth enough to make it. If you're buying for a personal project it will get the job done, if you're buying to outfit your professional tool kit, look elsewhere.

The best way to change the lower lever silent blocks!

Lifesaver! I tried this job once (on a different machine) and ended up taking it to the mechanic, hat in hand, and asked him to fix it for me. This time the easiest way was to press out the old bushings and press in the new ones. It literally made my job doable. I lubricated the threaded rod with anti-seize to prevent problems. I also found a 15/16 ratcheting box wrench to be very useful. The only thing I would have liked for the included tool were setup instructions, but between YouTube and…
