POC Downhill Mountain Medium Large Moonstone Review

Let's just say the POC is cool and very comfortable. I have a 62cm head and it's hard to find a helmet that doesn't pinch my head and give me a headache. This helmet doesn't rip my ears off even when I take it off. I'm 3 out of 3 on poc hardware and whoever designs their stuff figured it out. Thank you POK!

I bought this helmet for my kids because they are mountain bikers. This is a very underrated helmet and I will list its pros and cons below. Pros: very well ventilated, comfortable, fits POC Ora goggles, the tear-off system works well, has a place to attach a GoPro mount, comes with extra padding, looks very plain but cool. This helmet is rock solid and incredibly soft on the inside, but the plastic strap clip isn't comfortable for my neck/Adam's apples. A regular D-ring on the side would be far more comfortable and secure. Disappointed that the POC missed the target with the strap on the improved helmet. UPDATE: After trying 4 other helmets I chose POC and have no regrets. I bought this helmet for unicycling (EUC), not DH mountain biking. It appears that DH rated bike helmets come closest to the crash scenarios you are likely to encounter at EUC, meaning they are optimized for low average speed impact and concussion prevention through absorption/deformation rather than high speed.
