Polk documentation is narrow and not very informative for these products and their phone support didn't help at all (twice). Their website was pretty cryptic, but I was able to figure out (from user feedback online) that I needed to update the firmware to the latest version. I have not yet been able to sync these SR surround speakers to the main unit no matter how hard I try. I didn't buy them when I bought the Polk Maxi-Fi. When I synced the subwoofer to the speakers I figured it wouldn't be a problem if I bought surround equipment. Not a very good sound, this is a soundbar, not particularly expensive and wireless. All of which makes it a far cry from the solid sound that a receiver and wired speakers, even cheap ones, can offer. Definitely recommend as these rear speakers add a depth of sound that you can't get from the soundbar and subwoofer alone. They convert Polk Audio's soundbar from 3.1 to 5.1. But as is always the case with true 5.1 decoded rear speakers, they don't always produce sound as that depends on what you're watching and how that source's audio was recorded.
