Doesn't work properly.

After unlocking, the mechanism gradually returns to the locked position a few seconds after unlocking. You have to be quick when you use the door lock and then try to open the back door.

Pros
  • For shared cabins with 8ft beds, PL9510 is required for all electric locks
Cons
  • Minus present

Installs easily. Works in conjunction with key lock

Easy to install. Works in conjunction with a keyed lock. Finding the right cables on my 2018 ZR2 is a bit difficult. Called the hotline and the problem was finally solved.

Pros
  • Helps deter theft of the trunk lid and its contents
Cons
  • Expensive

Wrong item - back door locks

Could have gotten 5 stars if it was the correct item. Says Colorado Canyon 04 which I found odd but at least one reviewer told me it works on my truck, has a liar and is bold. The wrong bracket certainly doesn't do anything and doesn't even bring a replacement latch for my lock. Directions are extremely unclear and I was actually all in my BCM and kick pads for other work. Need better instructions, these instructions are a joke.

Pros
  • 1 year warranty
Cons
  • Communicating with seller

Product ok, customer service virtually non-existent

The kit itself is ok but the documentation is poor and there is no Pop & Lock customer service. existing. The 2012 Canyon instructions include approximately 20 steps. The first 17 (or so) are easy to follow as they involve installing the drivetrain and running cables into the engine bay. Next you need to go through the firewall and then find some wires to connect. The colors are predetermined, but that's all. I emailed tech support and when they didn't respond within six days I sent another…

Pros
  • Replacement tailgates can cost over a thousand dollars due to today's factory installed electronics
Cons
  • Security
