Fits perfectly. No more hits to the head!

They go perfectly with my 02 996 Turbo. They are very easy to install. Takes a few minutes. A big improvement compared to the old ones from the same manufacturer. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Little things

Do it yourself much cheaper than your dealer and easy!

I bought it older when the temperature got a little cold the hood would fall on my head. $50 and I won't worry anymore. I meant to say that I don't look stupid anymore, but that would really take more than an attitude.

Pros
  • practical little thing
Cons
  • there are doubts

the clip is missing but the old one is used. Replacement OEM

The hood struts on my '01 996 Turbo did not work. Every time I had to drive to the slums, the car tried to eat me alive. found these OEM replacement parts and was replaced in less than 10 minutes. One of the clips was missing, but I removed one from the old hood strut.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • No

No problem, this is OEM perfection.

How super easy! Do not try to remove the clips! Just pry up a bit with a small flathead screwdriver and remove the old ones, they're essentially pressed on. My lid now lifts on its own after a slight lift and my head no longer has the bump it used to have when it fell on my head. 100% easy, cheap and beautiful, simple job to do. 2002 996 for me.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Easy installation in the elevator supports

same brand I rented a car. Easy to install and the hardest part is removing the two clips from each post. I've found that it's best to use the thinnest flathead screwdriver you can find. To reinstall, simply clean and (lightly) grease the balls and lock in place. Don't forget to jack up the hood. I used a broomstick. There is a great video of Franny on Youtube.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • communication with the seller

These just fit and just work

These just fit and just work. It's so great my hood is working properly now and I'm not worried about that damn thing hitting my head. It "hooks" after you lift it about 1/4 of the way up and smoothly completes the climb to the bottom. I bought another brand that said it was OEM but they didn't work because the top and bottom connectors have to face opposite directions.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Struts are not part of the advertisement

I bought this to replace the struts on my 2006 Cayman S. Storage shelves but when I received the shelf they were not the same as my shelves or what is listed on the packaging. These shelves are not what is advertised. I have attached a photo showing the spare on the left and the spare on the right. They're not even the same size so I returned the frames for a refund.

Pros
  • Great overall specs
Cons
  • Has cons

Easily solved boot lid problem on my Porsche 996

My car has had a boot lid dropping problem for quite some time. I put it off because I didn't use the trunk very much and it didn't bother me. Lately I've been actively working on the car and constantly had to access the trunk. I chose the Stabilus struts over the cheaper Revain struts. Despite the higher price, I would recommend them based on the build quality and reputation of the company. I think they will last for many years so are excellent value for money. The replacement required a small

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High price
