If you have a black hob, this item will complement your overall decor. We use this with medium to high power cast iron skillets for braising, steaks and everything in between. We also use it to boil water, soup in 4 gallon pots. Even with a maximum output of 1800W, the cable does not get hot during use, making it a safe device to have at home.

I am very happy that I bought this hob. We use it a lot, mainly outdoors for deep frying, deep frying and deep frying. I bought this cooktop primarily for cooking stews. I have a 7 inch (touch diameter) pot and this thing works pretty well on it. With 1800 watts of power, it takes less than 10 minutes to cook soups. So far I haven't had any issues with the hob and it looks like there are still many features to explore. Currently I just turn it on and off manually, but I think it also has timer settings or something.

I wanted to have shabu shabu in my home and bought this after doing some research because I like the safety feature and it has good reviews. I used it with a metal pot I have at home. Little did I know it comes with a small magnetic pot test sticker. This is handy as I have never used an induction cooker at home. It was easy to use and warmed up fairly quickly. The actual temperature was not even close to the selected setting. I preheated the frying oil and set it to 340 degrees and the machine ran well over 410 degrees. I then tried other temperature settings and they were all far from 260 degrees, which actually heated the oil to over 380 degrees. I am returning this device and will receive a replacement.
