Solid light for cycling

Keeps all my boxes on. Easy to get on a bike. Waterproof. Rechargeable. Couldn't be happier than the average commuter and group rider.

Pros
  • Beautiful thing
Cons
  • Hard to say

Good light, great customer service.

PDW was very helpful in solving the problem and quickly replaced the failed unit. I use it as daytime running lights. The light is bright and easy to use. I love the twin lights with a blinking pattern that really grabs your attention.

Pros
  • Free for training purposes
Cons
  • dull packaging

The replacement had a new problem

The light when on is excellent. This replacement model had the switch in a different location and worked much better than the original purchase, but the USB charging cable would not connect to the flashlight. So the second attempt failed. Customer service is excellent on both products, two tries to buy a work light. We'll move on to another light source until the manufacturer corrects the situation.

  • Very impressive

Light is not up to standard Portland quality

Nice concept but I'm not sure if the product works the way the company intended. The very small LED light is just ridiculous. Flashing light is ok. Not sure if the light works like a brake light when stopping. Considering it's a taillight, it looks like the mount could have been for more than just the seatpost. I have a rear bike rack with panniers. The light is not visible from the seat post. Also, there is no room in my saddle to mount a light. Hopefully the company feels that not everyโ€ฆ

Best of 4 taillights, longevity, battery life

4 year ownership approaching. I drive on a very busy road and at the same time - I have two rear lights. This light, while not as bright as some of the others, lasted until the other two failed, one stopped working and the other broke its mount. My current second light mounts on the seat support system which gives good light but needs to be charged at least 5 times as often as this light which is inconvenient. I recommend this flashlight because my neighbor claims he can see it from a greatโ€ฆ

could not run smoothly

I ride 2500 miles a year on a BMC road bike. Dislikes: Tried 2 different taillights and couldn't get it to work consistently. When it works, it's nice and bright. There's a quick calibration procedure to follow. For example: It is a pleasure to work with the company. As a replacement they offered a model of a day bot, it has 3 modes and is very bright. The bright mode is great when I'm riding alone, there are 2 other modes that are good for group riding so you don't see the cyclist behind youโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

Brake detection function does not work reliably

I really wanted to like the light. After using it for several trips I had to return it. I feel like what makes this light different is the part of it that reacts to the brakes. Unfortunately, this function did not work reliably. It felt like I was slamming on the brakes, but it also felt like bumps were hitting and changing. In the end I would say the light was on constantly like I was braking 30% of my ride. This drained the battery and caused the person behind me to ignore the light that wasโ€ฆ
