It's been eight years and still works fine.

The durability of these heads has been outstanding over the years. Of course on my two most used ones I glued a rubber insert into the socket itself, don't think they are rated for 8 years or more lol. Still, I'd like to finally upgrade to the ones that have built-in magnets with inserts. You have served me well. ***** Only downside was the packaging, you need tools to remove the sockets from the plastic stand they come on, horrible design and I can see years later they are still packaged thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Safety

The plastic frame used as packaging is useless as a storage unit. It's disposable, thrown away, and it's actually a little worse than if the company just threw the sockets in the bag. However, this is not a problem. Some bushings come loose when the oven gets hot, others break leaving the insert segment inside. Broken off or still attached to the plastic superstructure, it's very easy to just insert a metal punch into the socket and tap the plastic support. Works every time. The toolsโ€ฆ

Good sockets, terrible bracket to deal with with screwdriver and vise.

Everyone says the holder that comes with these sockets doesn't release the socket. I had to bend the leads to the side that holds the plastic piece that goes into the socket, then place them in a vise, making sure the vise is open enough to just grab the socket, not the plastic, and pry the plastic piece out. with a screwdriver. If you have a brain, this is not difficult to understand or do. I'm not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews for a plastic holder that doesn't share outlets, but I

Depends on your needs and application

I was first looking for a 14mm (9/16") socket for plugs on a 2011 Prius and figured why not try it ?Well just in case I also bought a 14mm ABN, that holds the fork much better when extending and retracting with the right amount of force on the fork.Saved the set anyway just to have other sizes on hand for equipment where the plugs are not "buried." Deep well. To remove the plugs from the plastic, I stuck a plastic rod in a vise near the base of the socket and used a screwdriver and a hammer toโ€ฆ

This is a great product, not only a set of heads but also a puzzle. I ordered without reading the comments. When it arrived I couldn't get it out of the packaging. Then I googled how to separate the sockets from the packaging and ended up in this comment column. I found some very funny and amusing comments. But none of them helped me take the thing apart and it sounded like I was going to get third degree burns. So the challenge was there, I had to find out for myself. drum roll. How toโ€ฆ

Reliable purchase very satisfied

Received my set of spark plugs today, haven't had a chance to use them yet but seems solid and heavy as it should be, nice chrome finish now I must add that I am a professional mechanic and not a weekend warrior. I've been in the industry for over 30 years and have learned to recognize a quality tool when I see one. I've been a Snap-on, Mac, Matco fan but believe me they're overpriced, you can find the same or better quality in cheaper tools these days and this set is one of them, now for those

Look elsewhere for a better set

Creating the perfect product should be easy. In fact, these are just a couple of sockets with a gasket for spark plugs. The problems started when I tried to remove the first socket from the included plastic bracket. It looks like it will pop right out so I pulled it and the plastic broke off and the part was still in the socket so you couldn't attach a wrench. I tried to pull it out with pliers but the piece was too small. I ended up having to drill out a piece of plastic. It took me anotherโ€ฆ

Good for the price Best of hand tools

This is good quality for DIY. For less than $3 each, there's nothing to complain about. Of course there are always problems with any product, but in this case the good outweighs the bad. Hence the 4 star rating. For those complaining about the packaging, yes it could have been easier, so removing the socket from the packaging would have been easier. My advice: 1. Get a flat head screwdriver or a screwdriver small enough to fit the socket and a hammer. 2. Hold the socket upside down and insert a
