Worked great!: Belt

worked great on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. It didn't seem like it would fit at first, but you just have to squeeze it well as there's a little tension ball that helps lock it in place when you push it down. a lot of "that's what she said" in there. ;)

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Good tool but not a complete set.

Good tool but doesn't work on my Honda CRV. For some reason they do it with 3 rosettes and 3 crow's feet. Honda requires a 14mm head and the kit includes a 14mm crow's foot which will not fit in the notch in the center of the idler pulley to hook the bolt. Good tool but not a complete set.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Almost never

Finding the Right Tool

It works and I can't complain - but I know what I know now - I'd like a ratcheting or multi-position tool. The problem is that with a square drive you only have four positions for the tool handle - in my car (Chrysler City and Country) the position of the belt tensioner hole in the handle interferes with other components and is still a PIA if you have the money. for a more flexible tool

Pros
  • Handy Thing
Cons
  • Outdated Thing

The length can be adjusted with a hacksaw or a jigsaw.

This is the Bees Knees and it does the job. This is a long wrench and the handle detaches easily enough to fit your vehicle. I don't know if I can use it every day as a mechanic, but it's the perfect tool for a weekend project and will probably sit in my drawer for 6 years. it's down first. There were a few pieces along the way that got in the way of my undoing my strap, after cutting the back 3 inches it worked like a charm and never came in contact with the pieces.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Only available in white

Did what he had to do for the well.

Does the job for a rarely used tool at a good price. Cut the grip to fit a Jaguar X-Type with very limited tensioner space. It was tricky, but I left it on the tensioner and gently pressed it against the headlight housing to hold the torque so the tension wasn't completely released when the belt was changed. This made re-tensioning the new belt much easier and eliminated the seemingly impossible task of re-inserting it into a fully unwound tensioner. enough to throw away when it's time to…

Pros
  • Includes 24" handle with 3/8" square drive
Cons
  • Weight

Good price good kit

I have this kit to replace the serpentine belt and belt AC on my 2003 Chevy Tahoe, which I've never done before. The quality of the kit taken is quite decent (nothing in it screamed "cheap"). I originally used a 15mm socket and 24" grip on the main idler and the same socket came in handy to loosen the motor shield bolts from the underside. However, I've found that I'm generally much better at all of these tasks already with an adjustable socket wrench (the head can be positioned at different…

Pros
  • Tool includes 24" 3/8" square drive handle and 9-1/4" 1/2" square drive adapter/extension
Cons
  • Don't remember

EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED - Serpentine

OMG this tool is exactly what I needed. A long flat stem with a socket fits exactly where it needs to be on my Honda Accord. I had to provide a 14mm head as it was not included in the kit. It had a 14mm funnel but it didn't fit well on the bolt head due to the depth of the pulley. I had a 6 prong head, a 12 prong would make the job a little easier. This being the case, I had to poke the cowl support post out of the hole and hold the cowl with my other hand so I could pull well to unscrew the…

Pros
  • Adapter fits 8 different positions on the handle
Cons
  • So far so good
