Excellent workmanship + parts

Excellent workmanship. Solid wood, looks as pictured, magnet strong enough to hold securely without sticking. I noticed that the manufacturers took the extra step of adding small magnets outside of the screw holes to allow the magnetic field to extend to the edge of the board (see photos). A very thoughtful feature that gives you 1.5 inches of extra utility at each end. Also comes with wooden screw hole plugs for a cleaner finish. 10/10 recommend. Note: I received the 20 inch model. A few bucks

Nice minimalistic magnetic knife holder

As other reviewers have noted, this knife holder has a superb finish. I installed mine on a black subway tile so I ordered it in wenge and it's great. I didn't want to drill into the subway tile, so I installed a 20" rack of 16lb Gorilla tape, which worked great. As another reviewer pointed out, the frame features small magnets on the outside of the screw holes to ensure magnetism reaches the ends of the frame. This is a beautiful knife holder and also very practical. My kitchen is so tiny…

Very well made and looks great

We bought the color wenge, size 16". It's always hard to know from computer photos how it will actually look. The color is a little lighter than expected but looks amazing the design and finish is superb also when comparing similar items i always try to buy made in the USA installation is very easy and everything was included for mounting to drywall or studs The Magnets are definitely strong enough for our needs, none of the knives slipped off, I avoided stainless steel knives due to the looks…

This is a great knife holder

This is a great knife holder. I recently got a new chef's, utility and paring knife and wanted something that wouldn't damage the blades like my previous metal bar. Quality construction and I don't really notice any dead zones except for a small one where there are screw holes. The only possible ping I could give is for surebets. Although they fit snugly, it's almost too tight. I had to use a rubber mallet to straighten them out. For those complaining that the plugs don't perfectly match the…

The perfect solution for an extraordinary application!

Let's start with the fact that these things are GORGEOUS! Excellent workmanship and fit/finish. Now for the strength question. Many people have asked how much weight they can handle and how strong they are on knives. Well, the attached photo should explain everything. I bought 7 of the 20 inch units to display a historical collection of edged weapons. A German 7 pounder bastard sword connected to two strips of the knife, one near the hilt and the other further down the blade. Retention is…

excellent except for the lag screw that was included, super suction

looks great and holds all the knives (including 2 cleavers), scissors, church keys I've put on it. What was also handy was that it included fasteners for drilling holes in the drywall and a bolt. I had a HUGE problem with the included drywall anchor screws: they suck. like, a lot, at least for my walls. They are very large in diameter and did not fit smoothly into my wall. Instead, it kind of ripped/ripped my wall, causing portions of the wall to stick out and the anchor bolt not being able to…

Very very strong, no "dead zones "

This is exactly what I needed and wanted in a magnetic knife holder. I recently bought a set of 18 Damascus steel kitchen knives and steak knives and they are too beautiful to put in a drawer. I needed something durable, good looking and suitable for the space I had. I was very happy when I found this knife holder and read the reviews. The one where the man used it to hang a gun collection really convinced me it could hold my knives. I did another dance of joy when I found that it came in 30"…

Works best with magnetic knife strips

Love these holders. They can withstand a lot without any problems. My knives are spoiled for cooking (not recommended) and quite heavy. As you can see, these holders have no problem holding them. The problem I have found is that most items other than knives are NOT metal and will not stick to a magnet (spoons, cleavers, knives) (these are "scrap chrome"). HANDLE. Some do to protect hands, this will NOT work for you. The wood is quite thin and doesn't allow thickness past the blade before you…
