Excellent workmanship. Solid wood, looks as pictured, magnet strong enough to hold securely without sticking. I noticed that the manufacturers took the extra step of adding small magnets outside of the screw holes to allow the magnetic field to extend to the edge of the board (see photos). This is a great knife holder. I recently got a new chef's, utility and paring knife and wanted something that wouldn't damage the blades like my previous metal bar. Love these holders. They can withstand a lot without any problems. My knives are spoiled for cooking (not recommended) and quite heavy. As you can see, these holders have no problem holding them. The problem I have found is that most items other than knives are NOT metal and will not stick to a magnet (spoons, cleavers, knives) (these are "scrap chrome"). HANDLE.
