Replaced the same converter slightly older. Works well so far but much louder than the old device which we can't even hear when we're not around. Very disappointed with the volume.

I use this device as a solar charger for a backup system. It is easy to install and has a very high build quality. Since it's used for backups, it probably won't be widely used, but I expected it to behave flawlessly when I need it.

Yes it charges lithium batteries but you have to leave it on "fixed output" and set it to 14.4 volts. Once the battery reaches this voltage you will need to turn it off manually as there is no "trickle" charge in a "fixed" setting. Think of it as a 50 amp power supply with stable output voltage in "fixed" mode. If the switch is in position 3, lithium will not charge properly (even if you set V to fixed mode).
