This item fits all tools with an outside diameter of 2 1/2 connections.

Very happy with this product. I can't tell you how long I've been looking for an adapter that will fit my Dewalt table saw, Ryobi disc sander and Bosch router to my 4-hose JET dust collector. All of these tools appeared to come with a 2.27-inch ID port. I've tried everything and finally this one suits them all. I will be buying more to work out the rest of the tools. Be sure to buy!

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Fits

Attention Shop Vac users!

The OD of the narrow end is 2 1/4 inches, which is the size of a large Shop Vac hose. Therefore, to use this, you need a screed. In fact, the large end's OD is the same size as a 4-inch hard-galvanized duct, so you'll need a coupler on that end as well, unless you're connecting it to a dehumidifier's flexible vent hose. I bought this and then had to go to the hardware store to buy two more pieces to make it work! :(

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some Difficulty

Cannot be used to connect directly to a vacuum cleaner :-(

Quality is ok although the necks could be longer I found this. I have to heat it with a heat gun to get it bigger or smaller, but I backed out anyway. What really worked for me was a $6.98 rubber case at the big blue store (Fernco 2" rubber case P3000-22, store number 792021). It comes with a Metal sleeve supplied which I took out the rubber boot and used clamps to hold it in place The Ridgid hose then goes straight into the rubber boot Problem fixed.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some bugs

Fits perfectly on my Bosch router table

I bought this adapter to fit the dust hole on the back of the Bosch router table. Fits almost perfectly. I mean it fits but not tight. To ensure a tight fit I wrapped tape around the end that goes in the dust hole. I then connected the adapter to my 4" Y-piece with a Powertec clamp. This gearbox is exactly what I needed for my router table. It's durable and the right size for my needs. I like Powertec products because they offer quality products at a good price, they are not overpriced like…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Some cons

If you have a 2.5" vacuum cleaner, you would buy it for a 4" vacuum cleaner , right? Well it is exactly the same size as your vacuum hose and won't fit over it. I remembered that I had bought one of their products before and it broke before I could even put it on. The sticker is not a sticker, which can be peeled off you have to soak in solvent to get it all off which is great if you don't I don't value your time can't say enough good things about this company's vacuum nozzles just stay away…

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Operating speed

The perfect adapter for the right application

This adapter is perfect for what it does and where it simply fits (or doesn't fit). The 4" end is a male connector that accepts a 4" dust collection hose. The hose is placed directly on this piece and fastened with a clamp. Now for the little ending, which caused some confusion. If your male hose end is 2 1/8" OD and your tools are 2 1/4" ID, then you know it's a 2 1/8" fitting. Go check it out - then this. For example: I have an enclosed guard that I made for my 12" ShopSmith grinding wheel…

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled
