Brand new alternator

The upper alternator mounting holes are sticking out on a ledge so I turned them down a bit with a grinder. But working smart, like charging a battery, gets the job done.

Lasted a few weeks then died

It seemed to work fine for the first week or two and then problems were noticed. The battery indicator lights up. The alternator no longer supplied sufficient voltage. I will not buy it again nor will I recommend it.

Good product selected by a woman

I read all the Amazon reviews for 2003 Honda Civic EX 1.7L alternators and compared them to Advance, AutoZone and Pep Boys. Ordered on Friday, received on Sunday and installed the mobile mechanic today, Wednesday. The car purrs. Had to charge my new old AAA battery for a few hours for 3 months but I'm happy. It fits perfectly. I watched the mechanic pull the old one out and I saved the towing to buy one. Now I've figured out the powers and removed the lifetime warranty on the old simpleton. I…

Works perfectly! - Generators

Due to the weather and lack of time, the installation took a while for me, but no problems so far! I had to drive a pin into the bolt hole to fit my 2003 Honda Civic 2DR coupe. This was installed when the timing belt was changed, so I had to remove the bracket anyway. Using a 2 1/2 pound hammer and a punch extension I was able to drive the pin in flush. I've noticed that my headlights no longer dim like they did with the old alternator when the air conditioning or radiator fan comes on.
