Waste of time and $$

Bought late Oct 19', installed early Nov 19', died late Dec 19'. It started perfectly, and then it started to slow down, then I press "Start", then I press "No Start". spend $$$. Spend the extra $ on a better appetizer, you won't regret it.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons

good price and exact replacement for lbz

comes as an OEM starter and works as an OEM, buy the spark plug wire nut is crap and rip off the cheap bolt they use on the plug. So I removed the back nut and added an eyelet to the back nut instead. works the same way and will not come off that way. The bottom 15mm screw is very difficult to loosen. So use a 1/2 ratchet and extensions. but would still buy it again.

Very very bad For beginners

Worked well for a week. Then I tried to start the car and the starter kept turning even after I stopped the engine. I had to disconnect the batteries to stop the starter. It got very hot and my batteries bent over the terminals when I disconnected them. I used the old starter, nothing happened, it started without any problems. So I'm sending this newly bought starter back.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Exact fit for 2008 Silverado Duramax

This is an exact starter replacement for a 2008 Silverado with Duramax 6.6, perfect match. The hardest part of this job was removing the old starter, I have a lifted truck with a 5" exhaust, exhaust pipe had to be unclipped to pull out the old starter and install the new starter. This engine was supposed to rev faster than the original, and because it spins faster it starts easier we'll see how long it lasts but for the price compared to the GM I'm happy The bottom 15mm bolt needs a longโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Year trial period
Cons
