The starter works great and as the name suggests fits my SUV (it's a 5.4L). I don't hear any noises that I shouldn't and shouldn't be making. The starter has 3 holes to attach it to the motor, but the Expedition only uses 2, so don't think there's another one you can't see. Anyway if I have any issues with this I will come back and change my rating.

I retract my previous review. the same is sold in Oreiley, but 2.5 times cheaper. On my application, the '98 Grand Marquis, the starter was completely replaced with PITA, making it easy to install a pinion gear. But that has nothing to do with the product, just Ford's dull design, the way it's positioned and the lack of access.

Update: It's been a few months and the solenoid is stuck. Damaged retracts and never retracted. So stick to the flywheel. Probably damaged my flywheel. This company is a scam saying they have OEM quality. You get what you pay for. It's not like the photo. Looks the same as all the $35 cheap ones this site has. I should have just bought one of these for that price as it's most likely the same. let's see how it behaves

Well the installation was a bit tedious, but that was due to my machine part. Anyway, the day after my new starter and battery was installed, I had to drive to Cincinnati, Ohio, 4 hours away. It (my car) had some issues that bothered me at the beginning of the drive: weird deceleration and problems starting, problems accelerating. But I think these two important parts of my car were replaced at the same time and it was 10 degrees outside. Thank goodness we made it to Qingnchi and back safely…
