This starter was installed in January 2019 and has been running for a number of years and now needs to be replaced again. The OEM starter has endured for decades.

The starter was almost the same as the OEM. However, the orientation of the heat shield mounts was offset by about 3/4 inch. I had to use some creative effort to put the heat shield where it needs to be aligned. The rest of the starter matched the description. Worked fine but should be with a proper heat shield.

The starter turned and worked great on my 1994 Suburban 5.7 engine. The only problem was that the heat shield could not be transferred from the old starter to the new one. The screw on the back was in a different location so I got the starter thermal wrap and I'm ready to go.

This starter is working very well at the moment. Works perfectly, but I may need to update my review in a few months. It appears to be about the same build as my original part. Very satisfied with the price and the quality of the item. The part was almost double the price at the local parts store, hopefully in a year I'll feel the same way.

This item failed after 3 months of use due to an intermittent solenoid failure. This seller will not back up their warranty as this is not a total loss and my car has abandoned me on the street many times. Thanks to my local AutoZone I now have a lifetime warranty starter from them with no problems and my truck runs great. I ordered this starter and drove the car 3 times until it stopped. I submitted a refund, they replaced it within a few days. The replacement came out in less than 3 weeks, I sent a refund, sent it back but still no refund or replacement. I had to go to my local parts store to buy a new starter motor. It's been over 2 weeks since I sent it back and still haven't received a refund. I would not recommend buying!
