They arrived as expected and were as expected. They were easy to install and the instructions were simple. No questions. They were installed on my tailgate on my 2010 Mini Cooper.

Just installed this on my 2009 Mini Cooper Hardtop. Installation was very easy, just remove the old ones and snap these in place! They hold the trunk lid very well, seem very strong.

Very strong, holds the tailgate on my 2005 S well. At the same time, they do not hold onto the supports at the attachment point, at some point the strut came loose when closing the tailgate, the plastic transition to the attachment of the passenger rear window broke. The glass is good but ugly broken. I will order another set. Unfortunately they were well packaged, looked good and held up well when opened. I have a 2005 Mini Cooper and the top hinge didn't fully fit on the ball causing it to come loose. I had to remove the plastic mount from the original posts and rethread the plastic threads to fit the new posts as the new posts have large threads. It seems to have worked...the struts seem very strong, it's been a long time since this machine was new so I can't remember if the original struts were that strong so it takes a little getting used to using them as close Old ones lose their strength…
