So far, so good . I'm a lucky tourist. not correct . Baker!

I'm surprised by all the bad reviews but I tried it for the first time today and it worked great. However, I only have chopped macadamia nuts, which are pretty soft, and walnuts are next. I don't currently need to chop the almonds, which seems to be a complaint here, so I can't comment on that. As for durability, I've only used it once so time will tell. I love peanut butter cookies with macadamia nuts and banana bread with walnuts and sometimes macadamia nuts. I used to use a Cuisinart grinder

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Prepworks Nut Chopper - Just OK

Prepworks Progressive Nut Chopper with Non-Slip Base I first used this chopper to chop pecans and was immediately disappointed with the size of the pieces cut. As soon as I set the course, the pieces seemed very small to me – a little smaller than nut flour. I haven't tried fine tuning because I don't need nut flour. I remembered my grandma had a crank nut grinder as a kid that seemed to grind pecans really well, so I started looking for one of those old nut grinders on eBay. It turns out there

Significantly improved, especially for tough nuts

I previously gave a 2 star rating based on the previous round cross section model. I looked around for the best brand and found it hard to find. So I decided to try the current model and hope they fix their problems. I'm happy to report that the latest model, which this review is intended for, has actually made significant progress. Due to the limited initial use, I'm *very* happy with this new and improved model. *There are a few improvements I've noticed: the top holds up better, the two…

Worked great for 6 months then cracked/broken base thread cap

Performance: 4 stars for grind quality, dropping to 1 star for breakage after 6 months Value: 1 Durability: 1 Design: 4 Has 6 worked great for months. Then the tip of the base screw snapped and about 1/3 of the diameter of the tip broke off. When it worked, the grinder produced a reasonable mix of crushed walnut chunks and some crushed walnuts that you get no matter what you use to grind. started to crack. Luckily, I found the cracks before they hit the ground nuts and carefully removed the…
