Failure after 2 days

Installed on a 2007 Nissan Murano with #24 deep clutch. It's only been running for 2 days and to get it working I had to top up the refrigerant beyond the max. I replaced it with an OEM which costs about $55 and I think the reason for the failure is that the spring doesn't play well. I put a small screwdriver in the hole, it should play. There is a compression spring.

Pros
  • Cycle pressure
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Check the pressure switch first :)

My air conditioning didn't work on my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. I ran an Auto-C system self-test and it worked. I rented AC sensors from Oreilly and found that my compressor would not turn on. One item that needs to be checked to determine if the compressor will turn on is an AC pressure switch. Well I replaced the switch, refilled the refrigerant (after removing the old one) and now my A/C is working. Hooray! Many Thanks.

Works great and my AC is working again

My previous sensor blew on my 2006 Nissan Frontier 4.0L so I bought this one. After replacing (and charging the AC) my AC is working great again. I lost a lot of A/C refrigerant when I took the old one out, so be careful if you spill refrigerant right away (luckily I had plenty of paper towel laying around before removing). I refilled a bottle of AC coolant from an auto parts store and everything was back to normal.

  • Automotive
Cons
  • High Price

Incorrect Specifications

This will not fit 2007 Nissan Pathfinder! Bought the car from the dealer, they found 5 volts when it should only be 1 volt. The electric fan ran constantly, and this part told the ECU that the pressure in the system was too high. When the original part was put back into the fan, it shut down. Further investigation revealed that the compressor clutch was defective. I bought this part thinking I'd start small. Wasted money and time. Revane said this part "fits my car," but it doesn't.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Minor Issues
