Prevue Pet Products Mesh Catcher Review

The description is misleading on the color choice. I clicked on the first image to indicate I want white as it shows a white seed catcher; However, the LAST image of the three is the one to select if you want white. My other disappointment, and all seed catchers seem to be like that, is that they don't have a bottom. The seed simply falls into the net and then slides down and out through the bottom hole. I was waiting for a white fabric grain trap, but they sent me a black one. All of the images were white and I didn't notice that they come in different colors. I put it on top of my cockatiel cage and it covered the bottom two thirds of it. . . probably effective for catching seeds, but not only did it hide my birds from view, it also darkened their cage significantly, which they hated. The seed protection box says it will fit cages 50-100 inches in circumference (no diameter as described on the Revain page). My cage is 98 inches in circumference and although it is snug it still fits well and serves its purpose. I don't know why the other reviewer can't fit it. I use 2 overlapping seed shields (the bottom one overlaps the top one) because my bird feeder is about halfway up the cage and the shield needs to protrude at least a few inches over the feeder pan to keep the mess…

I really hate leaving negative reviews, much happier when I can praise a product. Unfortunately I wish I had read comments like the ones I'm about to make before making this purchase.
