Excellent viewfinder. Best in hardware

I don't love and dislike this thing lol. It's awesome to see who's at the door in the distance. I think it's really neat. The downside is that the image is upside down (not a big deal), but basically the main downside is that the image is blurry and not very clear. Although it definitely serves its purpose.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I LOVE THIS ITEM for door hardware and locks

I LOVE THIS ITEM! I replaced my (mostly glass) front door with a fiberglass door. And I missed the opportunity to see what was there. But with a baby I have a wide field of vision and my whole family can see from the outside (compared to the glass high up on the door). It looks cheap when it's plastic, but it works 100%. love it, you will recommend it to everyone i know.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other lock picks

Install carefully and you won't be disappointed

The hardest part of the installation is drilling a straight hole straight into the door. Go to a hardware store and buy a hole saw to make the installation easier. The resulting cylinder must be parallel/straight so that the end product fits snugly against the door. There isn't much room for error. The picture is very clear. You have to wrap your head around the image, which is the inverted image, but that's enough to tell if someone's there from a few feet away.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Expensive

This is a joke!.? - Door fittings and locks

Terrible waste of money and time! If there is no light in the room I am in and there is a lot of general lighting in the room in front of the door, I can hardly see what is outside. If the light is on in the room I'm in, I can't see through anything. When lightbulbs are visible in the room behind the door, I see tiny glowing dots where the lightbulbs are and some dimly lit spots that I have trouble understanding what's there. This means I CANNOT see the person. Now I have a big hole in my door!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Fur is not recommended.

I would not recommend this to anyone in need of a new peephole. I already had one installed on my front door. The sight glass broke and I needed a replacement. Since my door already has one of these, I can only replace it with the same one due to the size of the hole. This was quickly remedied with the new glass, but the image is a bit washed out and does not produce a sufficient wide angle. If I had a new door I wouldn't buy it. FYI, don't look inside like a traditional peephole. You have toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Protection

Very poor visibility good for gear

I bought this to install a garage door to my laundry room so I can see my wife loading clothes into the washing machine so I don't slam the door . She. I thought about installing a typical peephole, but when I saw this big 2 inch screen I thought that would be the ticket. This thing is pretty well made out of durable plastic and goes in just as easily as any of the others, just needs a bigger hole to be drilled. The problem is that this thing works with mirrors instead of lenses. Mirrors rotate

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
