To replace the brass skid plate if I install a polished nickel padlock. That looks great. The holes did not match the previous one even though it was exactly the same size. The packaging could have been better but it was nice that there was a piece of protective film on it so as not to scratch it in transit.

was a champagne color, not exactly satin. I used this backing rather than returning it. I used a sanding block, took a lot of work on the backing and the back finished in brushed aluminum and it looked great the conformal coated front is not brushed aluminum at all if I hadn't done my own useful work it would have been sent back.

I'm really crazy about this product. It says satin nickel, so I bought a plethora of satin nickel products that just got installed in my door - from satin nickel padlocks, door knockers, doorbells, and our housing association requires everything to be a color match, and now that i paid someone to install everything, it is very noticeable as NOT SATIN NICKEL. It also has a golden hue. DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT A SATIN NICKEL
