Fastens our folding door's badly broken bottom corner/hinge easily and securely. The position for the pivot was moved slightly, which was good. Fitted and drilled a new hole for the kingpin. Very simple, and Robert is your father's brother.

Pros
  • Zinc plated finish, rear fasteners, not visible after installation
Cons
  • Secret

I wish I knew this sooner

I've repaired 10 double doors in our house the hard way - replacing the bottom piece of the soft pressed wood frame with hardwood and drilling holes for the pins in the new piece. There was only one door left in the house to fix when I discovered these handy little gems. Works perfectly. Ease of installation. Love it. But I still passionately hate double doors.

Pros
  • Split Double Door Repair Bracket
Cons
  • I'll add later

Problem solved. dollars saved.

Congratulations. If you are here you must understand the mechanics of double doors. And you'll save a few hundred dollars on a new door. Over a decade ago I had a handyman who simply repositioned doors when the bottom of one of them cracked. Now, at 50+, thanks to online videos, the right tools, and empowering women, I'm doing this type of renovation myself. It was an easy fix. The width of the door and the location of the existing opening were irrelevant. They attach to the corners on the back

Pros
  • Split door top or bottom hinge repair
Cons
  • Compatibility
