The door could not be closed with this device installed.

Installed on my door and because it was raised in its design, my door wouldn't even close. When I tried to close the door, it flexed, so it's not strong at all. I ended up having to remove it as I couldn't close the door.

It worked, somehow.

He did his job, but you have to find out for yourself and the screws that are sent to him fall through the holes. The main reason it worked was that it was long enough to drill new holes in the case and the holes were wide giving you room to adjust.

Poor quality strike plate

The metal on this strike plate was much thinner than I expected and did not match the door it was intended for. use it somewhere, one day." Not worth the hassle of sending it back. I would NOT buy this again.

This allowed me to widen the opening for a perfect fit. Did exactly what was done.

I added insulation around the door frame to keep noise and wind out, but then the deadbolt wouldn't work without the door slamming. This allowed me to widen the opening for a perfect fit. It did exactly what it was designed to do and was easy to install. I would recommend that.

Ideal for wobbly door frames.

Replaced a door handle that had been moved several times and no longer good material for drilling new holes. This striker plate has mounting holes that flare even further, allowing the screws to cut into untouched areas of the door frame. In addition, the window in this strike plate is larger, allowing greater vertical deflection, and it is adjustable horizontally, allowing you to find the optimal position for locking the lock.

Well, if your door doesn't latch; not good if the problem is the door has too much play when latched

This is an innovative adjustable strike plate. Fits into standard cutouts such as metal door frames in apartment buildings. Ease of installation. If your problem is that your door won't latch because the deadbolt doesn't fit the hole in the striker plate, then this is a good solution. This striker plate can be adjusted to be more forgiving, allowing warped doors to still latch and latch.
