    Roller holes not aligned like my old mount

    I first reviewed a Revain purchase because I was so upset to find the roller holes were wider than in my original garage . Door, this is after I've done everything including unwinding and expanding the torsion spring. lessons learned. It is highly recommended to compare these to the ones you have and make sure they match.

    Used on one side of a 1979 garage door.

    Installation was a common problem. Over the years I have replaced two of the four springs. I had to drill new holes for new studs because the doors looked so different from the many holes in the bracket. never mind Also, I needed a new roller because the door roller was a size that is disappearing from the world. Again, no big deal. solid product.

    Warning - the brackets do not match - you may not be able to use both!

    The product came with two wrong brackets - see photo. Another recent review pointed to the same issue, so beware this looks like a trend. The right bracket may have been fine, but the left one didn't fit into one of the holes in my garage door - and that was the one I had to replace. I had to drive 45 minutes to the nearest store that had the correct mount. Waste of time on the weekend = one star.

    Excellent quality, works, make sure you have the right tool

    Unlike other reviewers, both parts had the same holes which didn't match mine anyway, easy to fix with a couple of self-tapping screws for a metal roof I had . The hook securing loop at the end of the cable is significantly larger than what I replaced which required cutting and recrimping the end of the cable. Be sure to wear safety goggles when handling taut cables! The garage door now opens without half the wheels jumping off track, great value.

    Does not replace Clopay garage door hardware.

    I have Clopay hardware on my garage door, this is not a replacement. My garage door has "nuts" preinstalled in the garage door and at least one of the holes will not line up so you will need to drill at least one hole. There are two holes that will fit if you install it upside down, but that creates another problem because the door will stick. Drilling a hole to line up the pre-installed nuts seemed like a bad idea to me because that hole would also meet another pre-cast hole that would loosen…

    They still supply the wrong brackets

    The first thing that struck me was that one of the holes I need to use is missing on one bracket but the other is missing. Then I saw that one of the support bolts was welded and the other was riveted. The rivet doesn't detach the side plate, so I had to either dig a small hole in the door for the rivet, or distort it about 1/16 of an inch to use it. Something else is wrong. two staples, so I measured them and found that one was the advertised thickness of 13 gauge (0.0897 inch) and the other…
