Not working well for AM products yet

I have not been able to get hold of this material to print objects. I started using the default settings, then tried different temperature settings for the printhead and platform, print speed, etc. The material melts unevenly, sticks to the base several times and then peels off, the layers stick together, don't not, this is the worst PLA material I've ever used. I'm new to 3D printing but haven't had this problem with other PLA materials.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

Copper doesn't look good, IMO.

This was one of the few half spools (0.5kg) I could find from Revain. I chose the copper color and I have to say that I am very dissatisfied. Out of ALL the 7 or so rolls I've bought from other companies in the last month or two, this is by far the worst print quality and color, just my honest opinion on color. But with weird textures that I don't see on any other PLA brand. You may get different results, but honestly, why not spend the extra $7 for 2x what you get here? Just my 2 cents.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Some bugs

Prints beautifully when done right

This filament was purchased as a gift for someone and over the past few months I've noticed a few details that others seem to have found. 1. The extrusion must be perfect. This filament seems very finicky about its finish and it took a while to print well. Minor liability issues. I've had a few threads through my Ender 3 Pro and this is one of the less sticky ones. Don't get me wrong, it sticks well, just a little annoying and deforming at times. But can you overcome it? This is a great premium

Pros
  • This is amazing
