Mediocre at best. suitable for cycling

My goal was to get the attention of walkers and runners at our races. This bell did not justify the hopes placed in it. I then bought a similar looking bell for about 3.5 times the price. Much clearer sound that caught my attention.

Suitable for thick handlebars

My handlebars are thick; So I have trouble finding a bell that fits my bike. I tried 2 other bells and none of them had sufficiently large mounting mechanisms and one even said it would fit a very thick handlebar but no. Needless to say, this bell fits my steering wheel. In addition, this bell has a nice loud sound and is easy to ring. In addition, the attachment mechanism is simple and requires no tools. It's a bit pricey but worth the extra dollars. What a beautiful bell!

Great bell! - Cycling

The strap can be a bit difficult to get onto the handlebars, I had to use a tool to attach it. Works great, I ride the train a lot and there are sections with lots of walkers and joggers. I'm tired of yelling "to your left" when I walk past or approach people just to get them to ignore me. The call works great. It may not seem very loud when you call out, but everyone seems to hear it when they step aside, or respond much better than my voice. I call him 2 or 3 and that's fine.

  • Quality construction

  • Negative impression

Clear and long, but NOT loud! (unless you remove the plastic cap)

I like the design and the way it attaches, I was able to attach it to the rod band with no problems. . The audio lasts longer than my other calls but is not loud at all. Pedestrians on the train tracks hear the crunch of my tires on the gravel in front of this bell. I've also noticed that older people have a much harder time hearing it, perhaps because of the high-pitched tone of the bell. I still doubt if it's worth the space it's occupying on my bars. Edit: After removing the latch on the…

Good but unstable, the bell is loose on bumps

Excellent sound but unstable. Sometimes it loosens and rattles on bad roads. Pull it too tight and it will dampen the ring. I was happy at first, but since trying the Spurcycle I've realized this is China junk. I don't know why the bell itself is screwed onto the bracket, but with daily use on uneven surfaces this is annoying for the reasons mentioned above. Much cheaper than a spur gear, so there's that. will spur if I pick up the nerve to toss $50 on a tiny bike bell. Update - lost rubber…

Very useful accessory

I first bought one of these to alert pedestrians to my presence on my way to work because many people seem to be walking without paying attention to their surroundings, lacking in situational awareness to respect. And for this purpose the bell works very well. I bought a second bell for my son's bike, we use it to alert each other to our gifts so we don't bump into each other when we're close and if one of us falls behind we can know the other ring the bell. This saves us from having to yell to
