Great for dip powder

I have been using these buffing blocks for at home dip powder manicures and I absolutely love them! I hated filling and buffing my entire nail with a traditional file and was using an electric nail drill to finish and buff them. Now I only use the nail drill around my cuticles and side walls and use the buffing block for everything else!

Pros
  • I use these for sanding in craft projects
Cons
  • The multi-colored design is confusing and distracting.

Waste of money good for me

Fine if you want the same type of buffer on all 4 sides. I was extremely disappointed with this purchase and missed the return window since I waited for my current buffer to be useless before I tried to use one. All 4 sides have an extremely abrasive "buff” none of them are less than the other which makes it useless for nails because you have no fine or buff side to do the top of the nails.

Pros
  • Good product. Excellent value. Highly recommend!
Cons
  • The multi-color design can create confusion in a professional setting.

NOT what you get at the beauty supply store.

These are so harsh, more than a "medium", as stated and the same grit on all 4 sides (also as stated). These are not buffers. More like something you might want to keep on hand for roughing up finished furniture before painting it! $8 for a dozen.sure beats $8 for a single block sander from Home Depot!

Pros
  • Gets the job done
Cons
  • The product can cause peeling of the nail surface.

Great Value for my opinion

It's hard to find smoothing blocks like this in stores around here, so these were a great find. Very gentle on the nails. The only problem I found with them is that they don't last very long. But for the price, just toss it when it gets worn out and get a new one!

Pros
  • This product came before expected and was well worth the price! No complaints.
Cons
  • The blocks are difficult to clean between uses.

Good for Paper Craft Projects

I bought these for sanding cardstock to give it a dimensional feel. These are the perfect grade for that purpose. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • These smoothed but kept my nails rough enough for gel polish to properly adhere.
Cons
  • The multi-colored design can cause staining on the nails.

Great value for the money!

Great value for the money. Work great and last longer than others I have previously used. Highly recommend. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • I love them.
Cons
  • The packaging is not resealable, making the product vulnerable to dirt and moisture.

Not coarse enough to be effective

These are very "light coarseness” buffers. I do my own powder dip nails at home and these are not coarse enough to buff powder dips. Do not purchase if that’s what you intend to use them for.

Pros
  • They work well for one I use them for
Cons
  • The blocks don't fit easily into a nail kit or purse.

Works but not durable enough

I bought these to buff my dip powder nails. These did work, but the grit was too flimsy and would quickly wear off. Even though I don't generally have a lot of bumps to smooth, I couldn't even do a whole manicure with a single block. I always need at least two. In contrast, my nail files usually last at least a couple full manicures, so for me, these just aren't a great value. Would not repurchase.

Pros
  • These don’t leave lines and smooth perfectly!
Cons
  • The packaging is bulky and unnecessary.

Rough nail buffer! in my review

This are very rough nail buffers. You have to be very careful to not damage your nails. Would not buy again. The blocks do not last long enough for frequent use..

Pros
  • These are great for buffing the ridges off my nails. They also add a nice smooth shiny finish too!
Cons
  • The blocks do not last long enough for frequent use.

Too abrasive to substitute for a 4-way nail buffer

I bought these thinking that they would be more like a "4 way nail buffer", with varying levels of abrasion on each side - that's my bad. All 4 sides are the same and it's a little too abrasive to use as a buffer, it takes too much of the surface nail off. They are very easy to use for nail shaping though, so will still get used.

Pros
  • Product does what it’s supposed to
Cons
  • I love them for the first few minutes.. but they don’t last long

Awesome, exactly what I needed

Exactly what I needed and great price. I do my nails at home and these are awesome for buffing nails before painting and even help with cuticles

Pros
  • I gave them to my father in law for sanding on woodworking projects. He really likes them
Cons
  • Doesn't last very long at all. I guess that's why you get so many.

Cons
  • The product is not suitable for sensitive skin.

Essentials - my new review

I decided that I was spending too much on manicures and so I got everything I needed to do the dips myself. These are awesome because they are needed and these are perfect for buffing and shaping

Pros
  • Nice product/ fits well! Good for intermediate cool weather!!
Cons
  • The product is not eco-friendly.

wouldn't purchase again

I might be wrong, but a "Professional Nail Buffing Block" should mean that this is all you need to use to get a professional type buffing of your nails. It is more like a nail sanding block to me. A professional BUFFING block should have ONE filing side and decrease the amount of grit till you get to one side that simply buffs your nails. This "Buffing" block is really a sanding block on all four sides.

Pros
  • I do my own nails and I really use the buffer. It gives that smooth look with silk or powder dip
Cons
  • The blocks are too bulky for precision buffing.

Lasted less than 1 use on powder dip nails

These have less grit than course and too much to buff. The grit falls off easily. They just don’t last. I won’t buy again regardless of A low price.

Pros
  • Not much to say here. Lol They do what I need them to do for my nails. They’re great.
Cons
  • The product has a chemical smell that is unpleasant.

Too coarse: my feedback

I read that this was medium grit, but I would call it coarse. It was too rough for natural nails, and left scratches. They might work for acrylics. I had ordered something similar in the past that works great, but it must have been a finer grit. I wish I could find those again.

Pros
  • Could not get at local store I'm a nail tech works great for buffing rough edges.
Cons
  • The sanding grit is too harsh and damaging to nails.

Not the same as polar block

I mean. I guess I assumed they would be comparable to polar block. And they are. They don’t last as long and the corners are sharp. Will buy real polar block next time.

Pros
  • Cheap material but you got what you paid
Cons
  • The blocks can become slippery with use, making them difficult to hold.

Great files: my feedback

Great sanding blocks for my nail dip finishing. Study and just what I needed. Hard to find in stores since Covid. Had to learn to do my own nails and so happy I did. Can get everything I need on Walmart.

Pros
  • I liked that they are just handy easy to use and don't scratch nails
Cons
  • The product is too expensive.

Work, but wear out quickly

They do the job, the only downfall is they wear out quickly. I wouldn’t say they’re very high quality. But they work for the most part.

Pros
  • A like all about this product ❤️
Cons
  • The blocks can quickly accumulate bacteria and germs.

Too Rough for Natural Nails

This product is very rough on all sides. If you have natural nails, it scratches your nails as well as your skin. It could be easily improved by alternating the sides with various emry intensities.

Pros
  • Only lasts for 1 set of dipping nails. But can’t beat for the price.
Cons
  • The sanding surface wears off too quickly.
