My kids love these oil pastels. The colors are bright and draw fluidly. Here is a picture of the character Sus drawn by my 12 year old.

I have never used oil pastels. I read that they can be mixed with baby oil. In the first picture on the left, the oil has soaked into the paper. I cut out the flower and applied it to the acrylic background on the stretched canvas. In both cases I needed additional colors as well as a sharper image in some places, so I used multiple colored pencils. They go well with pastel colors. This is not fake Mungyo pastels, this is Mungyo's original oil pastels (NOT the Gallery Soft line which falls into the artist category but it is a more solid, academic series) that Mungyo makes for a few other brands, as well as their watercolors (Prima/Jane Davenport watercolors are all Myungos). Overall, I am satisfied with my order of the Soft Oil Pastel Professional Set. The packaging is good as I used it for storage when taking a set of pastels on holiday. The colors are bright and saturated. I found them to go together quite well. The pigments used are not listed anywhere on the packaging, which is unfortunate as there is no reasonable way of determining which colors are fade resistant and which should hold up well over time.
