I used too many rolls of bar tape on the megaphone handlebar. The Brooks leather strap looked great but didn't have much padding, was difficult to wrap and too expensive to replace when I spilled and tore it. Fizik Microtex was too smooth and too thin. The SRAM Supercork had enough padding and texture, but annoyingly the edges came off easily when changing hand position. - but also has beveled edges that don't peel off easily. I will stick with it.

I'm not an expert when it comes to steering wheel wraps as I usually only do it every few years. The Profile Design Wrap is available in a non-stick version, which means you can wrap the plank and then re-wrap if you don't get it right the first time. I've never had a problem with the wrapper peeling or peeling off even though it doesn't have an adhesive backing. EDIT 11/11/13: I just had to upgrade this to 5 stars. After covering several thousand kilometers on this band, it has become my absolute favorite! I like how it feels; I like the level of depreciation; and it still looks and feels like new. I stick to that exclusively! So this is the second and third time I buy this band. I resell road bikes to make extra money and also to ride good bikes and buy expensive parts for my personal bikes.
