🔥 Maximize Power and Performance with Proform 66917C Hi-Performance Gear Drive Review

Good gear for the price I highly recommend this if your budget building isn't very loud but you can defiantly hear it. Needs a small modification to the stock timing case cover but overall a good buy!

Installed as directed then calibrated the cam to find it at 96° intake centerline instead of 106. Removed transmission controls from another engine I had in the garage to make sure I didn't lose them. The lower gear is not properly clamped. At the TDC you can see that the timestamp is pointing a few degrees clockwise. Don't save money.

Just don't. If you like buying useless crap and installing crap, you have to take it back because the timestamps match, but that's completely wrong. Then buy this product. Otherwise save up and buy something better.

Well I was after the transmission was whining and the Proform Gear Drive 66917C gave me exactly what I wanted. It's not very noticeable on the track, but it whistles quite a bit when you shift gears (smiles). Good product, the quality seems good and the price is right!

Excellent product in all respects. Made from good quality steel and instructions are included, just make sure you install the dog bone as written. Other than that the only downside is that the sound is quite loud, it's just that the sound isn't exactly what I wanted, it sounded like I ran out of PS fluid so back to the circuit for me. In terms of accuracy it was only 2 degrees of slop, if that's the case then it's well done.

Product was well packaged and on time. Good value product with simple instructions. I've had a few courses, although noisy, but a lot less than some of the others I've had. However, the rest was almost 2 1/2 times more expensive. So if you're looking for a loud one this is what you need, if you're looking for a really loud one, fine. I will say that the price is justified, the quality is excellent. Thank you for your quality and service.
