Misleading description. Didn't even install it. Send back. The description says "42 inch blades" which is a big lie. Individual blades are tiny. Each blade is 16" long and 5" wide at its widest point. I looked at many reviews and no one mentioned this. I wouldn't order if I knew.

Item arrived without a single scratch. All instructions were well written. The installation went smoothly. I used a balance kit to make sure everything was secure. Of course, if you need to make any adjustments after installation, you will need to remove all fan blades to gain access to the mounting hardware. If the motor housing is in two pieces (bolted together) to allow access to wiring and mounting brackets in case of future problems or adjustments instead of using a balancing kit.

The person who installed this for me said it was "very easy" to install and required no effort to balance; In his experience he had some balancing issues with some of the more popular brands. I bought this fan extensively and carefully, both locally and from several internet sites. In the end, I liked the look for my small living room (11.5ft x 14.5ft) and the positive reviews helped me decide.
