I gave this case 4 stars because the back panel is some type of plastic, which doesn't really detract from the case, it just that's it slippery. I carry my iPad usually between my thumb and fingers. The back panel being slippery makes it a little more difficult. Overall I am very happy with the case and would recommend it to anyone looking for a case for an older iPad. I ordered Sunday afternoon and it arrived on Monday.

Bought this for my 2013 iPad after the case I had bought along with it back then ripped off this year (see pic 4). It fits my iPad perfectly. The back is made of a clear, rigid plastic which can be kinda hard when you need to take the case off but otherwise I like it. The cover is soft and works just like Apple's but, unlike the Apple magic case, it folds in 3 sections and not 4 (pic 5) -- not really a problem for me, though. Just got this today so can't really comment on durability.

My old Otter case wore out after six good years when the silicon started shredding and breaking up. After looking at a multitude of replacement cases and reading reviews I selected this one. It suits my needs very well and does the job of protecting my iPad 2. No problems with it after two weeks of use. Not bulky like the old case. I like that. This was for a model 3. I had a two piece cover and back that interlocked and I liked very much. This was a one piece cover and back and it works as advertised. I do find the cover edges a bit too sharp. Overall, great value. I asked a kiosk vendor in a mall outside the Apple store for a replacement cover and they wanted $50. I could not justify that price for an old model iPad. I would recommend this product to others.

My leatherette case was falling apart and I chose this model for a replacement. There are not many choices since my iPad is an older model. It was easy to switch my tablet into this case. It's a bit different from my old one and I keep reaching for things that aren't there but I'll adjust in a few more days. I don't regret the purchase, it looks a lot neater than pealing leatherette. I think it should last longer than my first. I'm not thrilled, but satisfied with the style and price.

My iPad was in a much better case but it was very bulky. This one is much slimmer but I think because of the "wake & sleep" function, the bumper around the iPad isn't high enough to really prevent a cracked screen or denting if it were to fall.

Sleep mode is good but it does pop out of case easy which is not to good. Have an old iPad (A1416) that needed a new case, and this was a perfect fit.! I bought these for my kids and they enjoy them.

Product is strong. Think it is a bit awkward to hold together and it makes me not want to use it on-the-go. The biggest challenge is that if I sign on to my iPad to just check email or a quick message, it will try to completely shut down if the right side of my iPad touches the inside, right side of the case. The price range on IPad covers is all across the board. While this model was towards the bottom of the price range, I was pleasantly surprised to find it fit perfectly; woke up the IPad on opening and made it sleep when closed. I have been looking for a cover for sometime. This cover is better than not having a cover but it's light weight & my laptop has at times popped out of the cover at times. I would like to find a cover the laptop can slide into rather than to have it just fit down into the cover.

Product is as advertised. This is a nice quality hard case that works with the sleep mode on the 2nd generation iPad. Highly recommended. Would have no hesitation purchasing this item again.

The case is nice and lighweight. However, it would be better if it would stand up on it's own. For example, when I want to read from my I Pad I have to lean in on something.
