With a little work, they work great!

Might be tricky to install on a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT but I did it about 70,000 miles ago and they still run fine. Chances are you don't want to put one on the driver's side. Of course I didn't do that because it was too difficult to remove it from the car. Even with the other three and the original fourth, there's a noticeable difference in how well the engine is held in place. If you don't mind the extra work, this is a great way to save money over buying OEM mounts.

Pros
  • Got it

03' Mitsu Eclipse GT V6

Came as shown + bushings not shown. It takes a minute to figure out which mounts go where, but once you do, it's pretty easy to install. I used a vise, hacksaw, hammer and chisel to remove the old rubber and rings. I read some reviews where they got the rear and front mounts as one piece without those 6 holes but that's what I got. So (as in the photo) is it random I think? I didn't have to invent anything to get them. A bit fiddly, but I was happy with the end result. My car sounds and feels…

Quiet crackling and popping

Over the past seven years the popping and popping on the right side has gotten worse. This kit was good value and better than what was on my 2001 Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse GT in my opinion. The complete installation took several days. The kit I received also included lower support bushings! I found it a bonus and my car desperately needed these bushings. Since steel insert bushings were not included in the kit, the old ones had to be repaired with a welder and an angle grinder. I also used an…

Better now. Best in Transmissions and Parts

My used and mostly stock 3.0 liter truck had a lot of creaking at low speeds when cornering and stopping (thought it was CV joints), there were heavy shifts (thought the transmission was broken) and acceleration seemed unusually sluggish for a surviving 80,000 engine. When I saw the engine hop and open the TB to just 2500 rpm, I thought the mounts might be the problem. Noticing that the front and rear rubber inserts on the OEM mount had ripped off when I pushed both centers out with some thumb…
