No alternative to 3D printing consumables

Ideal for ESD protected devices. If you received a fragile batch, write to customer service and get a new coil. I use a secure factory assembly design to hold the components during assembly.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Socket required

Prints well if you have good settings.

At first I had a problem grinding the filament and it stopped extruding. But after troubleshooting it turned out to be my fault. The first layer was too close to the bed, causing back pressure and eventually causing the toothed stud to grind the thread and stop feed. bed and tear when removed. A light coat of purple elm glue broke the excessive adhesion and I was able to print 3 rolls perfectly on my Lulzbot Taz 5.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Fragile thread. Dirty print head. Really good results.

We have had great results with our prints, with great detail and fast communication with our Arduino board. The thread is surprisingly fragile. We store it in a bag of silica gel desiccant, but we still have ugly prints that break in the middle or at the very end. Binding also occurs at boot. The biggest disappointment is that the remains of the thread appear to be left behind. We had a number of prints with black dots in the color. If the print isn't colored, the end result looks really bad…
