I bought this because my vacuum cleaner requires a VF4000 filter. The dimensions were mostly correct, but the hole where it fits into the vacuum cleaner body is over 1/2 inch too small. I already threw away my old filter so I forced it but I partially crushed it when I put it on and it still doesn't fully work. I hate leaving bad reviews but in this case I have no choice.

This filter lists the model number of my store's vacuum cleaner, but guess what? It didn't fit - close, but there's no way to cut the case. I'm a bit hesitant to order online again, even though the returns process is extremely easy to use (even during COVID-19). It's probably best to take your old one to a retailer if you don't have time to order it and return it until you get what you need.

Fits snugly but not as thick or strong as the original ribbed material. Be very careful when trying to clean it as it tears and falls apart very easily. Had my original five year old cleaned and washed. The new one didn't hold up twice vacuumed. This filter is exactly the same as the Ridgid VF4000 - same number of pleats and same pleat depth. The pleat depth is 5/8 inch, but I found my original filter depth was a full inch. This means that the filter area of the original filter is 60% larger than that of the filters currently available. They're probably all the same.

I bought this to replace a Ridgid VF4000 because I needed a new filter for my vacuum and the Revain appears to be from an original Ridgid filter. Unfortunately, although it's advertised as a replacement filter for the VF4000, it's not that big. It's too tight and I had to work hard to put it on. I have a 15 gallon rigid shop vacuum and this filter fits almost exactly like the original. Close, but not quite perfect. Other than that, it's never leaked, and I have no complaints at all about its performance. I've used it to pick up everything from fine drywall dust to gravel-sized debris. I only lost suction with really good materials, but that was to be expected.
