Purolator Blue Single PL14615 Filter Review

I did a little research on YouTube and found that Subaru OEM oil filters are made cheaply here in the US. I wanted a top quality filter and from all I could find this Purolator filter is excellent. I have two new Foresters and wanted the best oil filters I could find. I think this boss fits the bill. I am very satisfied with this product. This is a top notch purolator and its reputation has always been solid. Filtration exceeds OEM specifications. The bypass valve is as specified on my Subaru. Also . If you want to extend your oil change interval, you can use this filter. I personally don't, but it's up to you. While I can't scientifically rate the effectiveness of this product (because it involves cutting, draining the filler with a vise, and looking for particles), I can say that my oil has never turns black as bad luck after extended oil change intervals. The oil is medium to dark caramel in color, remains viscous to the touch and does not appear badly worn with wear.
