The best filter I've found, hands down.

Excellent filter. Very, very durable filter housing. It took a long time to cut through that. Clean the metal end caps (some filters have cardboard end caps or end caps covered in glue/dirt). Outstanding valve design. Excellent anti-drain check valve. Very homogeneous filter material. I opened many filters, this one impressed me.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Good but not great

As advertising: oil filter and accessories

I've been using this oil filter on my Nissan Rogue since 2013. I change the oil and filter every 6 months or 4000 miles. It goes in and out easily and there were no leaks from the seal. I think this is one of the best filters out there. I only buy when Amazon drops the price above $5, which happens quite often. Then I charge free shipping ($25) min.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Reliability

Not for every motorcycle

For cars if Revain says it will fit ignore this review. I have a Honda 600 RR and according to many forums and threads it makes a good alternative to motorcycle filters. Don't believe them. I experienced more valve noise than ever before with this filter. The back pressure valve is rated for 14-18 psi and not 8-12 like a motorcycle pump. I believe this is not allowing the pump to push enough oil up into the engine. Too hard for a bike.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Repair

Satisfactory - Oil Filter and Accessories

I've never seen or handled an oil filter before, it was the first time I've changed the oil myself. From what I can tell it seems to be of good quality - no obvious flaws and the padding around the upper felt nice. , I had to puncture it and pierce it with a screwdriver to get more leverage. But it was worth knowing what I'm putting into my new used car and getting that sense of satisfaction.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

An oil filter that will last over 7500 miles.

Always find the maintenance schedule in your vehicle's owner's manual. It lists recommended oil changes based on driving conditions. However, it is good to know that this particular oil filter will last up to 10,000 miles. In a pandemic situation, some of us don't drive as often, so oil changes can be later than the owner's manual recommends. Obviously, every car has its own specifics - new, used, classic, etc. I would recommend this brand's oil filter.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

design changed. Fits fewer applications

The Purolator has been redesigned so these filters will no longer fit many applications including my 2014 Daytona 675. Filters used to be concave now they are flat/convex. This will not fully tighten the seal. As you can see the first filter I used had scratches from oil leaking out of it and I thought maybe I didn't tighten it all the way. On the next photo you can see the rating "used". I still have a third filter on the bike that is leaking oil due to the same bulge/flatness issue. I have to
