Purple 4TB Surveillance Hard Drive Review

I really liked that in one review they wrote about video surveillance and recording errors, I think it's nonsense, a good gadget.

This hard drive uses an old technology that has a 64 MB cache, but just because of this, it outperforms the same models with a 256 MB cache

I took to replace 1 TB in My Book Live. The disc sizes are the same. Increased the archive capacity by 4 times. I had to flash a new drive. Everything is working.

There were complaints about the packaging of ordered hard drives. Allegedly, they were poorly packaged and they were delivered to customers broken. This is a surveillance disk for NVR application. I assume that anyone who knows the difference will understand this and the different design of different hard drives. It's quiet with no obvious noise, it works in an Amcrest branded NVR which fits perfectly, screw holes are well aligned, cable connectors fit perfectly. I've had MANY WD drives over the years, both internal and external. I have never changed brands due to their quality (although I now use Seagate for my external devices). This disc is designed for continuous recording without stopping rotation. This mostly happens in video recording systems where the video is constantly being flushed onto the hard drive. This comes at the expense of seek time and random access (reading multiple files from different areas at once is slow). Western Digital has always told me that their video drives are great because of their durability.
