Beautiful and bright display

The display is beautiful and bright, responds very quickly to camera connection. I bought a separate camera module off eBay that better suited my finish. The camera that comes with the kit is of better quality, with less noise and a wider viewing angle. I have found that it is entirely possible for me to replace the camera module from this kit with an eBay camera body giving me an OEM look. . When opening the case slightly, the SMD capacitor fell out. I'm not sure if it was added during…

Bought as a gift for a 2014 Ram Truck man. Through the winter and then many rainy days in the spring, it stood for several months before I could install it. When I installed it I had to purchase glue for the mirror mount as the new monitor/mirror did not fit the truck's factory mount. The camera cable was long enough, but the truck only had one fuse box under the hood that could supply power. So I had to buy two small rolls of wire as well. Works great with a few issues. Some ingenuity is required.

I didn't really have a good spot for a separate screen and having one in the mirror was attractive. The mirror is mounted on an existing bracket. It was easy to run the power and video cables to the fuse box. It was a little more fun to route the video cable to the back of my truck (ordered 30ft cable and larger zip ties). I soldered and heat shrunk all the connections just for durability. I bought a pigtail that plugs into a two socket fuse box to get power. First I tried a wireless device to…

The rearview mirror looks like it came from the factory and I can view my navigation, music videos, etc. through the second input! Excellent purchase!

just what I was looking for! This has a factory look as you are replacing the entire mirror, it is NOT a "snap" like some other models which simply snap over the top of the existing mirror. I didn't have to stick the supplied metal adapter to the windshield. I just unscrewed the old mirror and put this whole block on top of the existing metal windshield mount. Absolutely normal. Is working. Some complaints. Although it was cheap.

This camera and display work quite well. I've been shooting stars most of the time due to screen flickering or "rolling". The brightness setting has many different steps, but I find I need to tweak it a bit for day and night. The camera is large and covers the top of my license plate. Unless you put it below and close your license tabs and expiration date, I doubt this will cause any legal problems. There was barely enough wire to run it from my plate to the underside of the dashboard of a…
