Excellent reliable good quality machine

I recently decided to replace my Shadow 5.5s after about 18 months of use and first bought a larger platform printer from another (better known) company. Long story short I ended up returning two of these due to defects and looking for another machine and found a 6.08 (which I didn't see the first time; how new is this printer?) and knew I had found a replacement for my 5.5s. So far I've only used 4 plates on 6.08 Mono (I've only had it 3 days) but I'm very happy with my results. Performance is

Pros
  • Faster print speed
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

The R Qidi Tech 6.08 Mono is a great machine. Point.

Qidi Tech's third resin printer is a smash. It is easier to use than a traditional FDM printer right from the start. The machine is the same size as the Shadow 5.5s. Only now it doesn't have the same Ironman color scheme, it's now all black with silver trim. It has the same lens hood, a dual Z-axis for pressure stability, and a carbon filter system for odor reduction. All details are perfected on a CNC machine. Basically all the good stuff that made the 5.5sa a great buy, but with better…

Pros
  • High quality printing and easy operation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

No complaints, prints quickly and cleanly

Machine arrived well packaged and undamaged. It included a set of tools and accessories such as a hex screwdriver, paint filters, gloves, masks, a metal and plastic scraper, a USB drive with files and spare FEP film. The machine was working properly when the power was turned on. The Chitubox installer version on the USB was version 1.8.1 and the machine firmware version on delivery was v4.3.11. The current version on the Chitubox website is 1.9, and the monaural version 6.08 required a firmware

Pros
  • Reliable build quality and high accuracy
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
