I love these devices

I bought 2 TS 832 X, one (A) in my office as a file server for our team, the other at a remote location (B). A syncs with B every 6 hours over the internet, giving us peace of mind of security provided by RAID technology provided by QNAP. When the office burns down, we have a full copy of all our files on the remote QNAP. The combination of 6 HDDs and 2 SSDs ensures high speed and reliability. File services on our gigabit network are amazingly fast, much faster than the external Raid Mac server

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Great machine, just installed discs from .

Excellent device, I just installed hard drives from the old TS-459 and after a few minutes of the update everything works as before, only faster.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Appearance

So far so good: Storage

Works great with 10GbE/Dual NVME expansion card (QM2-2P10G1T). I'm not really seeing transfer rates over 400MB/s even with large video files, but it's probably a limitation I still need to overcome in my network (same limitation between 10GbE PCs, even between NVME drives). Worked great with some old 3TB drives that I was gathering dust on, pretty easy setup (had to do it twice - the online part of the setup didn't work the first time). No complaints about it running like a file. Server.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

It's good but spend a little more and get TS-873-4G-US

I bought this not knowing how close the next 8- Bay was in the price. If you upgrade to TS-873-4G-US (or other iterations), you'll pay less than $200 ($731 vs. $900) and get: AMD x86-64-based CPU vs. ARM- Chip in this device - 2 ports 10G BaseT Ethernet (This has SFP+ ports that only need modules for copper). Ironically, buying two of them can make up the difference in cost. - 4 x RAM supported (64GB vs. 16GB) - HDMI output - Ability to add GeForce GT1030 for HDMI output and extra transcodingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Universal and multifunctional

The design is excellent, very minimalistic. Features like 10G and the ability to use the device for multiple functions are great. I really only need it as a backup, so I'm not expressing what it has. 10G: It works, but there's really no improvement over traditional hard drives. The advantage is that it bypasses the 1Gb network and thus does not use the full bandwidth for other devices. Movie Streaming: Using the PLEX app works well for movie streaming, but not for large 4K files due to theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Little things

Great NAS for home: devices

Very great little NAS for home and small business. The user interface is well thought out and easy to navigate. The included fan was a bit inferior. Had to be replaced to reduce noise.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • It's hard to remember, but it was
