Connected to the OBD2 port disables AFM so it will not disable your 1 4 6 8 cylinder in your 5.3. I didn't run long enough to see the MPG change on my 5.3 Avalanche.

June 9th I ordered this product and yesterday 1/8/22 it stopped working. Otherwise it worked great, but nothing now. If there is any way to replace it I will leave a good review.

Very easy to use, just plug and play. At night the light can be annoying for some, but it's not too bright for me. It works great! And the gas consumption is about the same. Keeps it in v8 mode. Definitely a must have if you are looking for it or want to get it.

My husband ordered this for his 2019 Cadillac Escalade. We often use this SUV to tow our boat and wanted it to always run in V8 mode. It's so easy to use, just stick it under your dash and it works great. Is it worth it? I have read several articles on the internet stating that active fuel management systems are bad for your engine. If the $100 price tag for this blocker prevents costly repairs, then yes, it's worth it.

This actually turned my 2018 Silverado 5.3 V8 into a V8! Buy and don't worry and don't wait. Once you've checked them out, just get this. It's amazing when you step on that pedal, and there's no lag when going from 4-cylinder to V8, and no awkward toggling back and forth.
