I followed the instructions and had no problems with peeling or anything. I read that you have to be very careful not to stretch and the panel shrunk about 1/4 inch. For my purposes it doesn't matter since it's on the edge of the window and I don't care if there's a small gap, but if you're looking for total privacy we recommend making it a little longer than the window and then after waiting 24 hours, use a precision knife or razor blade to trim off the excess around the edge. So I had to close the side windows around the front door as our bedroom door faces straight ahead. I *love* these window films! I ordered them to block the view of the very close neighboring houses but still let the sunlight in. They do their job! They are very easy to assemble once trimmed (personally I trimmed the first two wrong but only one stood out). I would recommend a *true* precision knife to trim off excess film after the film has been applied to the window, and be sure to get a squeegee or one of the application kits.
