I use both luggage locks and large rectangular luggage bars. This rack accommodates my smaller rods and larger rods that wouldn't fit in other racks I've tried. I drank for a month and I really liked it. Keeps my rods upright so I no longer have to bend down to pick them up. Great for me as my back isn't what it used to be. This week a forklift hit him flush with a pallet. There was a beep at the point of impact, but that was all. Good durable product. Does what the company says.
