Nice table radio

CC is a good table radio with good, fairly loud sound and a speaker. I bought it mainly because of the presets and the great sound. I mostly listen to AM radio. My only hope is that the display doesn't fail prematurely like I've seen on many used units on ebay etc. It's specifically the 2E. Otherwise a very good radio with excellent reception, very clear and quiet at high frequencies. I'd say around $200 is 20% overpriced, but not much choice.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Useless features

. I like the automatic selection of six stations from the thousands of stations available there. We live in Poncono, Pennsylvania and are within easy reach of Phil, New York and the Eastern United States. I have a CC radio in every room in the house and only use the battery version so I can forget about the danger of lightning during summer thunderstorms. CC Radio is always there for you, especially in emergencies such as power outages, wildfires and other natural disasters.

Pros
  • is understandable even with the old
Cons
  • legacy model

Excellent product

I was looking for an emergency radio with NOAA channels. After carefully reading manual/solar radio reviews and watching reviews on YouTube, I settled on the C. Crane CC Radio-2E Enhanced Portable AM FM Weather and 2-Meter Ham Band (Titanium) CC2TE. Yes, it costs more than cheaper radios, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! AM/FM reception is better than others, NOAA channels are clear and the ham radio is a definite plus. The additional D-size backup batteries were my deciding factor in the endโ€ฆ

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • too stupid

Most of my experience with it so far has been with AM, where it works really well. The only thing that takes getting used to is that "pulling" a distant and weak station signal takes a few seconds, which slows down the dial-up search. But the wait is worth it! Even the wrong "picture" of a local radio station on a different frequency - I've only seen it once before - disappeared after a few seconds. This will not eliminate all background noise, but turning the radio slowly will usuallyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great multifunction radio

This is my second radio, the original went off the counter and broke after 19 years of use. 19 years. The old one had analogue TV channels and this new one. being replaced (well, not anymore) by VHF amateur radio bands. AM picks up stations fairly well, but the addition of an external AM antenna puts it in a different league. VHF is pretty good, but at certain times of the day here in Savannah. GA we get that some stations are covered by stronger stations. Again, adding an external VHF antennaโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Does what it's supposed to do

With my twin daughters who are now 4 years old and supposedly old enough to be intimate without damaging the telescopic VHF antenna (don't jinx it now) I decided to replace the kitchen radio, working radio Sangean LB-100 with new CCRadio 2E. I bought the CCRadio 2E a few days ago when it was on sale and I've accumulated significant Revain points for getting the radio cheap. There are two colors to choose from, silver and black. I chose silver. I have a black CCRadio that works well in the guest

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Poor customer service

Customers should be aware that the treble and bass knobs are very fragile, they may be made of eggshell. For 7 years I have broken 2 handles on this radio tape recorder, a treble and a bass. At $19 a pin, only $38 for buttons that should never break, that seems like a lot. Shipping was about $13 which is prohibitive for such a light and small pen, every time the pen broke. I still don't know how either handle broke, I think over time the cheap plastic just got brittle and they just fell apartโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Annoyed
