OMG you can tighten this thing super gorilla and it stays in place. I bought 2 of these, the short version and the longer one, and decided to keep the longer one. I use it on my Humminbird Helix 12". It works fantastic.

Much more than you think. The overall length runs from the fingertips down the arm and just above the elbow, and doesn't allow fingers to wrap around the middle. It's big but my husband said it was perfect for his fish finder.

This is a very large class DC mount A class C mount will not hold the sonar in rough water. This one works great. If you are 7 inches or less, choose Class C. If you are 9 inches or more, choose Class D.

This is a ram mount. It's big, strong and it works. I bought a new boat and wanted to run HDS on console and bow. I build my own boats and do all the mechanics myself. I did the installation for a boat dealer who wanted me to use other brands of swivel mounts to save money. In my opinion they suck. Nothing compares to an Aries.
