This thing is rugged and insanely well built. I've never bought a frame, but I like it. Perfect for my sonar. Problems when installing in the side console of a pleasure boat. This fixed that problem. Will fit perfectly.

This is a very well designed and thought out mount. Absolutely worth the price. Just a tip, the package does not include screws to attach to the Helix 5's mount. I used four 8-32 x 1" stainless steel mounting screws to connect the two mounts. Has worked very well for me.

The mount is very well made, very strong, easy to install. I love how I can put them in almost any position I want with just a little twist of the knob. Haven't been on the water yet but I'm sure everything will be fine, it's very durable, I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't tried it on the water.

Good product. Difficult. Can it be made from a lighter material? No fastening material no! It would be nice to include "typical" mounting screws. Also, it would be nice to add a proper gasket under the bracket. I have not received a receipt, installation instructions, installation tips or warnings. Commercially available materials only!

This mount is just what I needed. Install it on the block of Yak's attack cells. I only had a limited number of places to mount a sonar so this was necessary. There are so many adjustments that can be made with one hand. I could move spool 5 out of the way during take off or landing and then pick it up and tighten it. Very easy to use. The only downside is that there is no hardware.

I was skeptical when I ordered this but when it arrived and I installed it I was pleasantly surprised. It is a versatile, easy to install and durable mounting system. I used it to set up a sonar display. This allows me to rotate the base so the display is facing forwards or backwards so it's easy to see from any fishing spot. I would recommend this mounting system for everything they offer, it's GREAT!

Although I've never used a RAM mount before, this was the easiest way to easily add another sonar to my pontoon. Mounted to the side of one of my front storage boxes with stainless steel bolts and nylon nuts inside with a base plate. To date, this is the easiest and most convenient mount to make your own. Whether it's racing on the road or on the water, it won't move unless I want it to. Makes setting very easy and takes 2 seconds. Will definitely use again if needed.

This was the perfect piece I needed when assembling the portable sonar mount I use on charter boats. It was easy to install with plenty of spaced holes for creative assembly. It feels solid and doesn't wobble or change position on bumpy boat rides. It can be easily combined with the Humminbird Helix 5 fish finder. This allows me to properly position my fish finder based on where I am sitting in the boat and where my portable fish finder is mounted on the boat. I highly recommend this mount!

Wow! So I recently decided to buy a Humminbird Helix 5 for our 17.5 foot Ranger Sport (1995). My plan was to mount a sonar head unit on the driver's side and when I stopped to fish I could flip it forward and use it that way and also because I have a smaller bass boat and because I'm modest and don't fish one anyway Ton.
