Ideal scissors for trimming beards and mustaches. I haven't been able to go fishing to test pliers due to the current pandemic.

good addition to the tackle box, there is another set on the boat but keep this set in the box so it is available when repairing poles and tackle stands. I like to keep a small pair of scissors to lightly trim the line from the rod to get rid of the old line and hooks, spinners and sinkers

Very good quality pliers and scissors. This is my third set that I own. My entitlement to coverage. THIS is made of very cheap "leather" that tears where the belt clip is held. So I need a third set. I lost two others.

Good quality pliers and scissors. However, the case that comes with it looks like it was designed by a five-year-old. No lining on the shell for rigidity, just nylon webbing. He turns and lies down, letting the tongs roll over. I didn't care since they were on a boat.

Scissors cut the line very well. The pliers close tightly and the small lugs fit together perfectly. Good size pliers - small enough to fit in a small tool box but big enough for most jobs I need them for. If you need both braid scissors and pliers this is a great deal.

Bought them as a gift and later had the opportunity to try them out in practice. I like that the pliers have more reach. As for scissors, I don't find much use for them. I usually keep a couple of nail clippers in my tackle box to trim the line when needed. I bought a pair of pliers after I started using them. I think they are great quality and I would buy them again although I could probably buy something less expensive at a hardware or dollar store.
